Philosophy
Ellie Foust is a contract designer living in Longmont, Colorado. She and her sister Brittany own and operate Body N Soul Equestrian an integrative equestrian facility that compete in the sport of Eventing. Ellie is also the Creative, and Executive Director of the non-profit the sisters run known as Nature Heals. Her clients include The Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art (BMoCA), Sober AF Entertainment, HKS Builders Group, Body N Soul Equestrian, and Nature Heals amongst others. Ellie graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor’s of Science after studying Interior Architecture and Design. When Ellie isn’t designing graphics or spaces, or riding horses she’s hanging with her husband Eric, and wrangling their two daughter’s Maeve and Rowan.
Design, for me, is about finding the intersection between function and aesthetics, beauty and effectiveness. I became a designer after having the opportunity to watch spaces unfold from concept to actualization. What I find so important as well as fascinating, about design is the way that we as humans interact, and connect with space, objects and graphics. In its essence, at the most transcendent level, design should be a balanced and well thought out dance expressing the tension of opposites.
